We believe it takes a village to address the issues we are faced with in today’s communities . Our parents/grandparents, Alex and Jerlene Smith, taught us everyone plays an important part! Therefore, we felt it appropriate to name this grant in their name to honor the values and beliefs they instilled in their family, that we can all make a difference!

For us, it was simple, we knew there was a need to offer a “Community Assistance Grant” as a way to “Give Back”. (This is a “one-time grant”, offered once a year, in the amount of $500.00, made payable to the organization selected.)

Your group could need financial assistance in administering a school program, funding to clean-up a park or playground, provide support to the disabled and more!

The need to help one another is real and is one of the passions of our foundation.

Best Wishes,
