My sister, Denise W. Sharpe, was beautiful, caring and smart and from a young age, “giving back”, came easy to her like the air you breathe.

She was the African American history buff in our family, and made sure her niece and nephew, (Courtney and Robert Solomon, also her Godchildren), made an impact in the community by learning early the importance of “Each one, Teach one” - and she led by example!

When she was diagnosed with cancer, her commitment to community service did not waver. She continued to teach adults to read, joined the mayor and others in her city on community service projects, was still persistent in organizing and facilitating “Martin Luther King Jr. Day”, at her place of employment, volunteered with her beloved sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, and worked tirelessly on the “Courtney Sherron Solomon Scholarship Foundation, Incorporated®”.

Even in pain she gave back and taught her family and friends that in “Servicing Mankind”, you don’t take the easy way out!

Love you my beautiful sister!

“Never Give Up, Never Surrender”…

American Cancer Society

Relay of Life Walk Metro-Detroit

Each year in June, our Foundation “gives back” to help in the fight against cancer by Fundraising and walking in our local American Cancer Society - “Relay For Life Event”.

We participate in the memory of our beautiful sister Denise, who lost her fight. In helping us raise funds and walking in the event, we can all save lives.

It’s overwhelming to think that millions of people will be diagnosed with cancer this year. It was someone we loved, our beautiful sister Denise, it might be someone close to you.

A Relay for Life Event is not only a way to join our community to fight back against cancer, but also to inspire hope by raising funds and cancer awareness to help those facing the disease.

In the near future, we will provide further information on how you can join our team and support the American Cancer Society by walking with us at the event, and/or help us in our effort to fundraise for this worthy cause by making a donation on their website as a participant on our team, CSSSF, Inc.®

We have participated for the past 8 years, raising over $10,000, and we have no intention of slowing down!

Our Sister Denise Sharpe, lost her fight against cancer, we need YOUR HELP to put an end to this disease!

We look forward to answering any questions, you may reach us at: csssfinc28@gmail.com

Can we count on YOU!

Warm Regards,
